Hunter boots worth it?

I need a new pair of rain/snow boots. Wanted to get some reviews. Hunter is a big one I always wanted, but wanted to know if it's worth it. Good for winter too or only rain? Not that I play in the snow, but to walk the dog or just go outside.
Last pair recently broke I got from DSW.

Any advise or similar boots that last? Thanks

Kamik rain boots. Look on Amazon.
They are way cheaper than Hunters and work just as well.


You do need different boots for snow becuase snow will get in the top of the rain boots.

Kamik also makes snow boots and I have a pair of khombu snow boots that I got at Costco one year for like $40 that look and feel just like the expensive Sorel boots.

To me it was worth it because I have had mine for about seven years. They still look great. I also bought them in kids sizes so it was more affordable. People do complain about the shoes being narrow. I think there are other comparable rain boots.

For snow boots, I bought Sorel and love them. Also got them on sale. The only way shop.

Like previous posters said the hunters are great but really for rain or once snow melts and there are tons of puddles.
I used them all the time in NYC because the puddles at every single corner are disgusting. Id be able to walk right on through them like General Patton.
That being said i used their liner socks on cold days. Otherwise your feet freeeeeeze.
So worth the price tag if you plan to use them for years and venture out in the NYC.

I also have other snow boots to use in case of a huge storm where the snow would get in the top.

They are not good in cold weather. They have no insulation - even with the sock inserts. Your feet will freeze. They are great in rain though.

I hate my hunters. Not comfy. Do not keep you warm. And they heavy.

I wear my hunters in rain and snow with no issue. I don't hang in the snow willingly but if I'm trudging through the school parking lot or whatever they're fine with the liners.

Def worth. I’ve even used them in winter with some thick, cozy socks. Plus they have awesome designs.
