This outdoor dining in weather is making me confused: what should one wear??
So, I am going to a Birthday Lunch this weekend. It's going to be at 2pm and obviously outdoors, with high being 66. What does one wear?? Short Sleeves and a light jacket? Long sleeves and a light jacket? And how does one eat in a jacket?
Oy, as if we didn't have enough problems already!

That's why I eat indoors only.
I hate outdoor dining. So umcomfortable.
I'd layer. Wear short sleeves or thin long sleeve top and a cute jacket I've never had an issue eating in a jacket. I wear them in restaurants all the time because the AC is usually too cold in the summer for me. It's not like it's a bulky winter parka

Layers lol. A tank or a short sleeve and a light flannel or chambray button down on top. Jeans or leggings. Extra layer can be a long cardigan. It’s more comfy to eat in a sweater than a jacket.

Temps in the 60’s I’d wear a sweater & long pants.

i would layer thin layers.
i'm also a person who runs cold, even in the summer time.
i would wear a long-sleeved tissue with a short-sleeved t-shirt or thin sweater on top. maybe even a cardigan over all of it... depending on how thin each previous layer is.

jeans and a short sleeve or sleeveless shirt with a cardigan on top... you are likely to be eating in the shade so it will be cooler than the expected temp but comfortable.

I am within NYC limits so it's been outdoor only for us. Until today!
yeah, i guess a thin elegant jacket will do, nothing too bulky...

See, that combo makes me paranoid that will be too hot

Ah! Yes and now only 25% so yeah that helps. Yes, a light jacket is great or like others mentioned a cardigan but if it's a dressier place/affair, something like a dressy blazer Enjoy!

Re: This outdoor dining in weather is making me confused: what should one wear??
Thank you, everyone, appreciate all suggestions!
My problem is also that i have a very hard time imagining the weather that i am not experiencing at the moment! Unless it's 85 and above, or 40 and below, I have no idea what it really feels like unless it is happening right now!
