i need to pick your brains - holiday trivia
i'm putting together some employee engagement stuff for the holiday peak.
i've already put together
* virtual bingo
* email holiday "easter egg" hunt
* scavenger hunt
now, i'm working on a company and holiday trivia game.
i'm looking for end-of-year holiday trivia questions that might require a little more work than just googling "what is winter solstice?"
i'm looking to open it for holidays from thanksgiving, to vhanukah, to kwanzaa, to christmas, to winter solstice, to new year... and anything else that happens at this time of year.
if you have any trivia questions/answers that you can throw my way, i will be grateful.

Most people will be researching what he did as President, but they were both "born" in 1924.

What happens to the Rockefeller Tree after the Christmas season is over?
After the tree has fulfilled its duties at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, it is taken down, milled, treated and made into lumber to be used for homebuilding. The lumber has been donated to Habitat for Humanity since 2007.

What book of the Torah is Hanukkah first mentioned?
Trick question. Hanukkah is never mentioned in the Torah, since the story of the candle lasting for 8 days happened after the Torah was written.

How many questions are you looking to have? If you're planning on a few dozen, I'll come up with a few more. If you want 10 or less, I can probably come up with most of them. If you want 100 or more, I hope you asked other forums, too...

There's a lot.... It's a way to get people to realize that most cultures have some sort of Winter Solstice timeframe holiday.

i'm going for a total of 25 questions. i will sprinkle in a few company questions:
* how many packages are we estimating to deliver in 2020?
* what was our sr manager's first job in the company in 1991?

* what hobby does the sr admin (me) spend most of her time and money doing?
* what does QDM mean?
