Gizmo Watch For Kids

Does anyone have this for their kids? Looking at it for my 10 year old. I do not want to get him a phone yet.

If you didn't like this or have something else, what would you recommend?

We have used it prior to getting a phone. it was fun for them when their friends all had them. My kids walk home from school when the weather is nice so I like that I am able to track them and they can call me if there's an issue.

My 8 year old has the tick talk 3. I read this one is better for older kids. I was looking at both and ultimately decided on this one. It holds more numbers than gizmo. She can text pre loaded texts. I can add texts on the app too for her to use. She can FaceTime me and dh. The only downside is the battery life. But she brings it to school and as long as she’s not playing with it all the time it lasts. Sometimes I give her the cord and it charges on her chrome book if needed. She went to her friends house last week without the charger and I was able to track her/text her until I picked her up on one charge. So it’s not terrible.

We were looking into it for my 9 yr old son. Our neighbors have it and love it.

We started looking into it and then the monthly cost just got raised. It was also right around the beginning of Covid and then we realized he was always pretty close by anyway. If there's something else i'll look into it.
