Cuomo
For me, it will really depend on who is running against him. I have never voted based on party and have voted both republican and Democrat in previous presidential elections. But after seeing what the republican party has become, I'm not sure I will ever vote red again. So if Cuomo is the Democrat on the ticket...yes, I probably will vote for him as much as I would rather see a different Democrat. As for NYC, I went about a month ago and where we were felt very safe. NYPD everywhere and tons of people out enjoying a beautiful spring day. I wasn't alive in the 70s, but my parents were and they say although the city is definitely worse than it was five years ago, it is NOTHING compared to the 70s and 80s. I'm hoping for Yang. DiBlasio is the worst...I would actually take cuomo over him.

Re: Cuomo
I became a US citizen 11 years ago and only voted last presidential elections for obvious reasons. I wouldn't vote for Cuomo but, so far, wouldn't vote against him. I like how he handled the pandemic. Now, I feel the crime in the city is 100% because of DiBlasio. We live in the city and I won't take the subway now or will let DS take the subway in a near future. The city it is not what it used to be and I'm coming from a 3rd world country where I have seen worse, but this is really sad.

I bet the baby who was killed in Brooklyn or the 4 year old kid who got shot last week in Times Square doesn’t feel the same. The reason why there is heavy police present is because it’s not safe, that’s not a good thing. That usually means you are mostly like in the ghetto.
I grew up in the 80s and this weekend NYC was the same. The only thing missing was the graffiti. My family all live in NYC and are saying the same thing.
Cuomo and Diblasio are destroying NYC and the fact that people don’t see it or ignore it, is so shocking to me.

Because people will vote just because he’s a democrat or are still hanging on to his glory days from the height of the pandemic. People vote with their hearts not with their heads.

Kind of like how half this country ignored, tolerated and supported an unhinged lunatic for four years. They brushed aside his lying, cheating, sexual misconduct, authoritarianism and complete disregard for anyone that didn't vote for him. Your comment is laughable.

I didn’t support Trump or his antics just like I think Cuomo is a narcissist sexual predator. What is your counter point for some who doesn’t like Cuomo, thinks he’s ruining NYC and hated Trump?
This isn’t about Trump. He’s no longer in office, people need to let it the fuq go as their argument. Honestly, People who blindly follow Cuomo look just as crazy as the people who blindly followed Trump.

Posted by NervousNell And what about all the sexual harassment claims from multiple, multiple women?
What about it??? There are TWO men sitting on the United States Supreme Court that have been accused of sexual assault, and the immediate past president of the United States of America was also accused of sexual assault. Those three men were elevated to those positions after they were accused of bad behavior. Clearly this country tolerates it, and even rewards it. Is there some reason Cuomo should be treated differently? Don't get me wrong - I think it's perverse and disgusting, and I wish women were given the benefit of the doubt instead of the men - but really - after raking Anita Hill over the coals, Clarence Thomas made it to the high court, and was later accused of groping a woman. Brett Kavanaugh could have starred in a video for Billy Joel's Angry Young Man in the face of multiple accusations by more than one woman, and Trump bragged about groping women without their consent, not to mention the 25 women who have accused him of sexual misconduct and yet he still was elected president. Two wrongs do not make a right, but until the investigation is complete there is no reason for him to leave the governor's mansion.
I don't agree with any of it. Unlike most people who can't see beyond party lines, I don't agree with it regardless of who it is. But this discussion was about Cuomo.
The "whataboutism" is getting very old to be honest .
The man is a piece of shit. Just because there are other pieces of shit in our government, doesn't make him any less ofba disgrace.
And if the sexual harassment isn't enough for him to be out, perhaps the nursing home deaths and consistently lying about them and covering them up should be. But again, the man is untouchable for some reason so I'm sure he'll be elected again and we'll be stuck with him
OK - I'll take the remarks about other men out - and say What about it? He's been accused - BFD. Until an investigation is complete and it is shown that he actually engaged in the conduct he is accused of, I don't give a sh*t about harassment. As for the nursing homes, I have already posted about the flip side of the argument and the LAW in New York about nursing home residents and what they should or should not have done in regard to infection control. As for the lying and covering up about the deaths - the sheer numbers were reported but attributed to hospitals instead of nursing homes. We are not now finding out that hundreds or thousands of more NY'ers died then were previously reported - it's the same excruciatingly high number.
Is he an arrogant, power hungry assho!e??? NO DOUBT. Did he totally screw up in some ways? I think the answer is obviously yes. Is this in line with what Eliot Spitzer did that he should leave the governor's mansion with his tail between his legs? I don't think so. The investigation needs to play out, and if he did everything he is accused of he should resign or be removed. Until then, he's still the governor - even if he is an arrogant, power hungry, assho!e.

Yep he is. Because people to continute to vote this asshole in. Just like they voted DiBlasio in for a second term. You only have yourself to thank for the shit hole NY has become.
At least Trump they voted out. This one- forget it. He's untouchable for some unknown reason

Maybe now that many moved away from the city and see his true colors after their pandemic they won’t vote for him again.

True!
My question is- how is it even a possibility that he CAN run again? He should be removed from office now IMO- not be allowed to run AGAIN. The lies, the cover ups, the nursing home deaths that HE directly caused then lied to cover them up time and time again. And what about all the sexual harassment claims from multiple, multiple women? Or does #metoo not matter anymore when it comes to King Cuomo? IMO satann is the lesser of 2 evils when it comes to this scum bag
Has the investigation been completed or started. I was never really into the whole me too movement. IMO you can’t willing to something then cry years later it was wrong and it right.
I really want to know if it happened and what happened and what these women are NOW considering harassment. This would go for anyone no because I want to defend Cuomo at all.

Have you heard his latest statement....making someone feel uncomfortable is not harassment?!?!? Ummm...according to the unfunded mandated class you make every single employed person take....that is the exact definition of harassment!!!! Isn’t he a lawyer?? He needs to go.

Yep. I've had to sit through that class multiple times. In said class, telling a woman she "looks nice in that dress", rather than saying "that's a nice dress", is considered harassment. But Cuomo can ask women their relationship status, ask a woman 40 years younger than him if she likes older men, go in for kisses on the mouth with staff members, etc, etc. And that's all fine. Ok, makes sense.
