Smithtown areas question
How is the area between Brooksite and 111 between 25 and 347? I am looking at the area that's Smithtown school district but I don't see any parks or playgrounds in the area, the only one seems to be Robert A Brady park which is not biking or walking distance if you are closer to 347.
How is this area compared to Morewood section? We just saw a house near Stuyvesant and Knoll areas, really beautiful area, I think it looks nice but hilly, also once you few blocks west, it becomes Commack SD, I am more familiar with this area, but have no experience with Brooksite area. House values seem lower in Brooksite area compared to Morewood.

Re: Smithtown areas question
The Brooksite area is much busier then the Morewood area. Brooksite is a cut throw to get to town and 25a. That being said, the areas off of Brooksite a lovely. Part of the area backs up to Blydenberg Park.

Smithtown areas question
Thank you so much! We visited a house with hubby, it's nice but like you said it felt much busier, the morewood one was much better, quiet, and almost all houses are similarly shaped and maintained where as brooksite area homes were sort of all different. Some people like that but I prefer community feel and also gives you flexibility with repairs can get to know from neighbors what they did, who they used, etc. However we were disappointed badly because we were really excited once we saw what the place needs in terms of renovation/work. :(

Smithtown areas question
I personally like the Brooksite location better. The lots are a lot bigger, it's more accesable to things (IMO), etc. If the house isn't directly on Brooksite you should be fine. Both would go to HS West. Blydenberg and Brady Park (off of Maple). If you go north of 25A (up Edgewood) you'll be right near all the good restaurants in St. James too.
