Kid's night out suggestions
I do "date nights" with my sons during the summer just to get 1:1 time with each of them. I'm looking for some ideas. My boys are 10, 6 & 5. We have done mini golf. I'm going to take my older one to the bike path at Captree and ride Ocean Parkway. I'm looking for something where we can interact, meaning not the movies or a show. We are in Babylon so I am looking for something within a 20-30 minute max drive. Thanks!

What about ceramic painting, you can sit and talk while painting

There is a place in Sayville called Mini Monet that does things like this- they have parent/kid paint nights, craft nights etc. Recently they had a Dad and Daughter event where they taught the dads how to braid hair (and the daughter's braided their dolls' hair) which I thought was ADORABLE!
Not sure if Sayville is too far but there might be similar places in other areas...

That's really adorable that you do that!
I don't know how daring you or your kids are LOL, but indoor skydiving is very fun and interactive. I know they have iFLY locations on Long Island - just not sure if they're close to you.

That is a cute idea. These places aren't open later though during the week.
I actually saw the Ducks are playing tonight. He would like that.

That place is so fun. Not for me but my older DS loves it!

Me and my son like to go go karting together we go to country fair in Medford. Not sure if that is too far for you. We also go kayaking on the Nissequogue. Maybe there is a place by you that rents kayaks.
Our favorite date is going to his favorite Chinese restaurant. It isn't a take out place and we just sit and talk the whole time.
I love going on dates with my boy.

This is a great idea for next time. He just got into baseball and would like that!
We ended up bowling. Not to brag but I bowled the best game of my life! There may or may not have been bumpers. I will neither confirm nor deny.

I have to say- I won't bowl without bumpers anymore. It has done WONDERS for my game as well!

Country Fair in Medford or Top Golf! There is also a roller skating place in Centereach or Hicksville.
