Drop off at bday parties

My DD who is almost 8, got invited to a classmates bday party at some crafting place. We haven’t gotten a bday party invite in a while. Can I just drop her off and pick her up at the end of the party or am I still expected to stay with her at this age?

IME you can drop off at at this age. We usually stayed because we were friends with the parents and other parents but I have had parents who left their kids at 5 years old.

In that situation, it's not a problem to drop off because they'll probably all just stay in the one room and it will only be the party guests there. I would NOT leave my kid at Sky Zone because the kids are running all over the place and you never know where anyone is.

My DD is around the same age and almost all parties are drop off. I think we’ve been to 1 non drop off party (and half the parents left anyway).

At that age in a one room party place I say it's ok. Maybe if you don't know the parents get their number when you drop off and come a bit early for pickup and stay in parking lot if you're not 100% comfortable.

I would not at an open public place like someone said a skyzone place, climbing and especially at a bowling ally.

I remember my son had a bowling bday party about 25 minutes away in 1st grade and surprised there were kids that were dropped off. That is way too young IMO. Especially if they have to use the bathroom or walk off.

Drop off at bday parties

My son is turning 9. For the last two years, I’d say the drop off rate is 50%. Some parents stay, others leave.

I would stay and see what the other parents do? If I knew some of the moms, I would stay.

Personally, I usually stay but only because it's an opportunity to catch up with some moms. I feel like you can drop off at that age.
