One thing i have seen a few times on social media platforms and in this thread particularly is the sentiment that “my life is no worse under Biden”. Really?
What about inflation that is affecting millions of people? Direct result of Biden’s overspending.
Markets are down because there is no confidence in our leadership.
What about humanitarian crisis at the border? We DO NOT HAVE the capacity to process everyone. American citizens in border towns and sanctuary cities are affected. Not to mention the human smuggling and drug issues that come with ineffective leadership.
It’s so strange to me that people are more concerned about a “woman’s right to chose” than the people who are ACTUALLY alive and suffering.
To this point, if things are so dire economically and people are being laid off left and right and people can’t find jobs… Why in the world would we really want to push an initiative or support candidates who want widespread abortion bans? Why would we force Americans into unwanted parenthood while so many people are struggling?
Two things can be true at once. I can recognize that our economy cannot handle an more stressors while realizing that abortion should given limited accessibility. I just don’t believe abortion should be viewed as a sacrement as many dems believe. Culturally speaking we put too much emphasis on the happiness if the individual and eliminate the consideration that people are responsible for their own outcomes.
Also-your view on the beginnings of inflation in the US is not at all true. Comparing globally is a weak argument.

I hope to God Trump doesn’t run again but if the choice is Trump v. Biden my vote will go to Trump and not President Houseplant.
My vote would be for anyone but Biden. Literally anyone.
Same. Was hoping Desantis would run instead of Trump but cannot deal w/ having Biden in for another 4 years...
I truly can't believe the democrats couldn't find SOMEONE, ANYONE better to run. I mean there has to be someone else. I find it hard to believe that is the absolute best they can offer?
I can’t believe trump and Biden might be our “best” options for both parties.
It worries me that people would still just vote against trump bc they despise him. My family can’t sustain another 4 years of Biden.
And for unemployment, I have never in my adult life had so many friends in high paying jobs, and a lot in IT, who lost their jobs. These are real families who lost a lot of income and they can’t find jobs that pay anywhere near what they did. And I have other friends whose companies are lying off and they are beyond stressed every round of layoffs that they are next. It’s scary. Personally, we are working with almost 50% less income thanks to Biden and what he did to this economy. We literally can’t downsize anything else. He needs to go.
And yet you despise Biden and will vote against him?
Trump sucked as a President and so does Biden. My life was no better when Trump was in office or worse since Biden has taken office.
At this point the majority of the people will vote based on which party backs their morals and core beliefs, not specifically the person who will become President with these two idiots running. I will NEVER vote for Trump and I won't be voting for Biden again either.
If it ends up being Trump and Biden who will you vote for? An independent candidate? I often want to do that but I feel like it's throwing a vote away.
I've voted independent before and I have no issue doing it again. I dont support either candidate currently......it's not a wasted vote to me.
I have too… It’s not really wasted vote but it’s more of a vote that splits things and can create an imbalance. I do wish we had more than two party system.
But we don’t have more than a two party system. So it’s a wasted vote.
In your eyes it may be. Is there a law that says an Independent can't be President?

Of course not. But given the size of our electorate and the split of people who vote dem vs repub any independent vote is essentially pissing in the wind statistically speaking. Every eligible voter should chose as they wish.

No-I DO think woman need to have a choice available to them-just conservatively and with limits. Also, I don’t exactly think holding people accountable for consequences should be compared to punishment.

One local issue that is probably impacted most homeowners here is the SALT Tax cap. Which was a Trump era initiative that capped deductions at 10,000. It has been a disaster for many homeowners and it seems like it has bipartisan support to repeal it. I think George Santos… Who I believe was arrested today? he wanted to repeal it and increase the deduction to 50k.
My general point here is that there’s a lot of lingering issues due to previous decisions.
Let’s dig a little deeper…..why are our taxes so high????? That’s the real problem. I’m more upset that taxes are so high than eliminating the SALT deduction. Raise it to $50k is going to make people happy….lowering taxes will. So much wasted taxpayer money.

Yes, my life was great under trump. We were making money and building our savings, and saving for our children. Our income has literally been cut in half!! We are not salaried, commission. Thankfully we saved instead of spending during the good days.
I despise Biden, I personally feel he is taking the country down the wrong path. Any candidate is better than him.

Re: Votes against trump
I cannot believe that we live in what was once the greatest country in the world, with the best and the brightest, and yet out of 300 million people, we get Biden and Trump. REALLY? It's like the worst possible people on the planet. One of them is an embarrassing, brain dead puppet and the other one simply cannot manage to control his insane behavior. I PRAY Trump doesn't run and I PRAY that Biden is removed from office before 2024.
We need to get rid of political parties altogether. Period. Let a candidate run on the issues. Make lobbying and special interest funding illegal. We also have to realize that politicians - of any party, do not care one tiny little iota about regular Americans. At all. They are evil to the core. It's all about money, power, and re-election. Just ONCE I would like to see a politician actually do what his voters want and not what his big scary "party" wants.
I fear this country is beyond repair on so many levels. It started with Obama, got worse with Trump, and now it's just bottom of the barrel. These politicians purposely want Americans to hate each other, they breed divisiveness, they lie, they cheat, they steal, and the rest of us all have to sit there and take it. If it's Biden v. Trump I won't be voting.

Your holding people accountable by punishing the child...... Let's save the life of the child yet not be willing to provide support systems to those who are forced into giving birth. In the end the child suffers but whatever makes you sleep better at night.

I think it depends on how you view him.
He lied right out the gate, saying the election was rigged despite his own campaign and senior officials in HIS ADMINISTRATION finding zero evidence of fraud.
Pelosi wasn’t in charge on security on Jan 6.
He lied that he didn’t ask Georgia to find votes. I mean there’s a recording....
He wouldn’t answer on abortion. He lied about finishing the wall. He lied about the presidential records act.
There’s more but I don’t have time.
Hopefully Republicans will turn on him in favor of a challenger in the primary, but I doubt it.. I think Chris Christie will run again.

So in order to eliminate the chance a child *may* suffer you…kill the child? Seems a bit barbaric if that’s the only reasoning.
But again, I DO support abortion on limited terms. It is part of women’s healthcare.

Forcing people to be parents when they aren't equipped to be parents doesn't benefit anyone. Especially when the services to help those individuals are limited or eliminated all together. Holding those parents "accountable" might seem like the right thing to do but its only hurting the child in the end.
A fetus in NOT a child.

Out of curiosity, what are your main deciding factors that make you hate them that much that you would have no choice to vote for Biden?
I’m really trying to understand how people can put their safety, their children’s safety, their personal finances, their livelihoods, the countries security and many other things on the back burner because they hate someone.

I’m really trying to understand how people can put their safety, their children’s safety, their personal finances, their livelihoods, the countries security and many other things on the back burner because they hate someone.
Same. I think Trump is pompous, but Biden is a disaster for this country.

How is my family unsafe? I honestly want to know? The only reason I feel unsafe these days are from the numerous news reports of yet ANOTHER shooting? Yet Republicans seem to keep laxing the laws around gun ownership and instead focus on female reproductive rights. I am just fine if not better than when Trump was in office and yes that is including financially.
How about I will start worrying about all those dangerous "illegals" taking away jobs when those weathly folks in my neighborhood stop hiring those same "illegals" to do work around their yards because its cheaper.
Trump refuses to put out there his stances on gun control and abortion, so yea no thanks.

Votes against trump
Yeah, I'm also curious about how life is more dangerous when Biden is in office.
Gun safety - won't happen b/c conservatives hold onto their guns too tightly. That massive toxic fire from the railroad - Trump rolled back EPA regulations. The economy - it sucks but not fully b/c of Biden. The whole world is seeing the same thing and he's not their President. I believe that a lot of it was a result of the Covid quarantine (people out of work, supply chain issues, etc) and also b/c mega companies are raking in the dough while laying off workers and raising prices.
