Votes against trump
If it was Trump vs Biden again
And you were previously a “I will vote for anyone who runs against trump” voter ….
Would you still vote for Biden?
Genuinely curious where those voters stand.

Have you done better since Biden was in office as I know for the rest of us, most will say they were fine with Trump in and are struggling very bad now?

I hope to God Trump doesn’t run again but if the choice is Trump v. Biden my vote will go to Trump and not President Houseplant.

These people are just still hung up about Trump that they can't see what they did by voting Biden in and would actually do it again. Makes NO sense at all.

Yup - anyone but Trump.
Same. But to be honest I’d never vote R anyway because it doesn’t align with my values.
As for Trump, I didn’t agree with the countless environmental rollbacks, or that he will consider a 15 week abortion ban if elected.
I don’t agree with his idea to break up the federal dept of education or election of principals or cutting funding.
He wants Jan 6 insurrectionists to be freed and congress members tried for treason.
Overall I wouldn’t vote for an unstable egomaniac who has said he is pledging to see retribution. I don’t think that’s what our country needs.
Regardless, it’s a moot point. He has no chance of winning.
As for my own life, I’m good. The latest monthly job report shows unemployment is at its lowest in 54 years. I’ve had ample opportunities for work.

Do you honestly think Biden will win again if it is just them 2? I don't know many who voted for him that are very happy. I want someone new and not want either of them but there is NO way I could vote for Biden.
I don't know the last time you tried to find a job but it is the hardest it has ever been right now. One person told me that businesses are getting covid money so all they have to do is interview people to get that and have no intention of hiring anyone. It is sad as I have heard over and over people going for interviews and applying to jobs and either no calls or no answers back when they were told they would call them on certain days or times.

I do. His base has waned. The midterms showed vigor for the left in terms of abortion rights.
I do think if Biden unloaded Harris he may be better off but Trump also has numerous cases going on, like .....
-34 felony counts in NY for falsifying biz records. -The payroll case for the Trump org. -The Fulton County election interference probe. -The justice dept. investigation into overturning the election. -The handling of classified documents. -Civil filings against the Trump family and org. -The rape and defamation case. -The pyramid scheme case. -Micheal Cohen case. -Even a copyright case for a hit 80s song.
That’s like .. a lot and quite serious. That’s a lot of shi+ to try and shine.
I do think it’ll be a low energy campaign cycle barring anything crazy.
I just predict people will do whatever it means to keep Trump and his drama out of office.
As for jobs: it looks like most Covid relief loans and grants for businesses have ended but I haven’t dived too deeply into it. I think there’s a site you can look up a company and see what they received from the government.
Sometimes employers have to wait for budget approvals and there’s a disconnect between accounting and HR when hiring. I know I had one job I was interviewing for that was pulled suddenly due to money and then they had layoffs. I think markets are still in recovery mode but better than before.

I can’t believe trump and Biden might be our “best” options for both parties.
It worries me that people would still just vote against trump bc they despise him. My family can’t sustain another 4 years of Biden.
And for unemployment, I have never in my adult life had so many friends in high paying jobs, and a lot in IT, who lost their jobs. These are real families who lost a lot of income and they can’t find jobs that pay anywhere near what they did. And I have other friends whose companies are lying off and they are beyond stressed every round of layoffs that they are next. It’s scary. Personally, we are working with almost 50% less income thanks to Biden and what he did to this economy. We literally can’t downsize anything else. He needs to go.

The amount of huge layoffs in the tech industry in the fall and winter was insane. Every day you'd see on LinkedIn and the news about another big company laying off 10,000 people or more. Facebook, Microsoft, Dell, the list was insane. 10 and 12 k people axed at a shot. I can't imagine all those people already have new jobs. Where? I'd love to know . I work with the staffing division of my company and our big customers just aren't hiring right now.

Trump sucked as a President and so does Biden. My life was no better when Trump was in office or worse since Biden has taken office.
At this point the majority of the people will vote based on which party backs their morals and core beliefs, not specifically the person who will become President with these two idiots running. I will NEVER vote for Trump and I won't be voting for Biden again either.

Re: Votes against trump
One thing i have seen a few times on social media platforms and in this thread particularly is the sentiment that “my life is no worse under Biden”. Really?
What about inflation that is affecting millions of people? Direct result of Biden’s overspending.
Markets are down because there is no confidence in our leadership.
What about humanitarian crisis at the border? We DO NOT HAVE the capacity to process everyone. American citizens in border towns and sanctuary cities are affected. Not to mention the human smuggling and drug issues that come with ineffective leadership.
It’s so strange to me that people are more concerned about a “woman’s right to chose” than the people who are ACTUALLY alive and suffering.

It's called privilege. If it doesn't affect them personally it doesn't exist or matter.

Biden isn’t the cause of inflation though. Inflation is even higher in other countries.
Republicans said they’d repeal a law that lets Medicare negotiate lower prescription drug prices, which would reduce inflation for many Americans on Medicare.
Republicans also blocked Biden from setting a $30 a month price cap on insulin resulting in higher prices and inflation for those diabetes. They have also blocked child care subsidies for families with young children which would help people deal with inflation.
And ultimately layoffs and everything isn’t really any presidents fault… It’s basically corporate greed. Cuts happen and a CEO is still making millions.
Not to say that Biden is some groundbreaking president here… But there’s a lot of fingers being pointed at him when Republicans are blocking efforts to help people.
This is a very small scale example… But you know those goldfish packets for kids lunches that they sell in Target? They are now priced over seven dollars. But when you only have a few corporate entities, like Procter & Gamble… PepsiCo… Mondelez... they are able to use the excuse of inflation in order to raise prices unnecessarily. By the way all three of those aren’t struggling… Pretty sure that they each beat Wall Street expectations in recent earnings reports.

To this point, if things are so dire economically and people are being laid off left and right and people can’t find jobs… Why in the world would we really want to push an initiative or support candidates who want widespread abortion bans? Why would we force Americans into unwanted parenthood while so many people are struggling?

One local issue that is probably impacted most homeowners here is the SALT Tax cap. Which was a Trump era initiative that capped deductions at 10,000. It has been a disaster for many homeowners and it seems like it has bipartisan support to repeal it. I think George Santos… Who I believe was arrested today? he wanted to repeal it and increase the deduction to 50k.
My general point here is that there’s a lot of lingering issues due to previous decisions.

I have too… It’s not really wasted vote but it’s more of a vote that splits things and can create an imbalance. I do wish we had more than two party system.
