Bed Rest
How much did you do in a typical day towards the end?
Also what were some symtoms that you overdid it.

Re: Bed Rest
Now I sit up a lot more - starting to do one house work chore a day (swept yesterday, laundry today, etc.). Also went out last night but sat the entire time. DH and I went to dinner Friday night and tomorrow we will be - figured its the same as me sitting at home at my kitchen table.
I went out with my sister the other day to BRU and the drugstore. By the time I got home I really felt horrible. It was definitely too much for me. I felt really bad low in my pelvis- could hardly take my shoes or pants off, felt like Baby A was going to fall out - I couldn't really bend over. So I slept for an hour and felt so much better. Also found I am drinking so much more water now - I am cramping a lot and its making it go away.
HTH!

Re: Bed Rest
Toward the end, I would go out for a couple of hours - DR's appts, shopping - and then rest for the day. I had a lot of swelling in my feet that worsened after too much activity. I, too, would feel pain in my lower abdomen - like pressure - also ciatic nerve pain.

Re: Bed Rest
Okay that's exactly how I feel. A lot of cramping on lower abdomen. Sometimes a shower and laundry is about all I can handle.
I like the one chore a day idea. Also how did you find shirts to fit you? It is kind of comical getting dressed. I think I should buy some dresses for shirts.

Re: Bed Rest
A friend of mine had given me all of her old maternity clothes - they're all kind of "lounge around the house" type clothes, which is all I really do anyway. I have 3 nicer shirts that still fit and I rotate. Wow did I save a lot of money on maternity clothes! I also never really got past wearing my mediums - some I've totally outgrown and a couple still look ok on. I only bought two larges that I'm in now, but luckily like I said I have my friend's clothes. Want to borrow my wardrobe for your last 2 weeks?

Re: Bed Rest
The last three weeks i did nothing. It was too painful to stand for even a little while and I had to pee all the time.
For the wardrobe, i used my bella band at the end and just wore it around my belly so if my belly was showing through a shirt people would just see the black of the bella band.

Re: Bed Rest
I refused to but new colthes, so I pretty much wore the smae few things over and over. I realized a few weeks before I had the boys that the panel of my shorts was showing, but I didn't care, at least my skin wasn't showing.
