In the midst of some craziness on the home front, I have to get a dress

for a friend's wedding in December. I love this shade of red--BUT--is it too "look at me" or rude to wear this? I love this gown. Her BM gowns are burgundy. Thanks!

Is it a black-tie wedding? If so, it's perfect and will look great on you. If not, honestly, I think a long gown may be too much.

I *LOVE* red but I always hesistate to wear it to a wedding, but since her BMs are in burgundy I don't think you'll draw that much more attention..

I think it's a gorgeous dress - but I think it will stand out. My friend had someone wear a red, long, figure showing gown to her wedding and it honestly was "the talk." Not that we said much about it that night - but afterward everyone did! The girl who wore it looked awesome in the dress and pulled it off from that perspective -- but it really did appear to others she was trying to get attn. If this is not your intent -- which it doesn't seem to be since you are concerned about it -- I might consider getting it in another color if it comes in any... bc the dress is great!

JMO - and it appears I am in the minority - so good luck deciding!

This is what I'm worried about....thanks for the opinion. I sent it to my mom over email (but it's my dad's account) and wrote "MOM" in the subject line. Of course, my dad wrote back: WAY TOO LOW, MISSY!

I think the dress is gogeous and I wouldnt think twice about someone wearing a dress like that to a wedding... however, knowing how many people are about the "rules" regarding weddings, I would be hesitant to wear it.
