Confused.. need opinions
I just stopped taking the pill about a month ago. I was on it for about 6 years. I am recently married and really not quite ready for a baby just yet. I am only 26 and we recently purchased a home and are not quite financially set for the expense. The only reason I stopped taking the pill was because I didn't like the way i felt on it. I tried different types and then decided we are married now so i just stopped.
I was due to get my period about 5 days ago and did not get it yet. Is this normal? I feel a little bloated and last night I had cramps like I was about to get my period but didn't. I am really confused and scared to take a pregnancy test. How long did it take anybody to get their period after stopping taking the pill before they knew they were preg. ? TIA

35 days for me!
Edited to clarify--->
I must have read your posting wrong. I meant to say that it took me 35 days to get my AF after coming off of the pill!!!!!

It took me 39 days after stopping the pill to get my period...
and it's still pretty irregular- went off 5/7

when i went off the pill, it took me several months to get AF back. i would just take a test to give yourself piece of mind. that's what i did and i was glad bc then i didnt stress for all those months over it (we werent quite ready either).

My cycle was really whacky after going off the pill - first month it took about 45 days, second month about 18 days and third month I got pregnant

I had two relatively normal cycles, maybe 35 days long, after stopping the pill and then nothing for 8 months, then I got PG!! After Andrew, my cycles are clockwork, every 28 days!

Thanks everyone. You all have been a big help. I am going to give some more time. Then I guess we'll see. I still don't know why I feel crampy like I am going to get my AF. I felt this way for about 24 hours. Maybe tom. I will get it?
