Spinoff: Strollers
I'm not technically a twin mommy, but i will have 2 that are 11 mths apart.
I am starting to look into double strollers. i really love the side to side. i know you can't put an infant seat in a side to side, but has anyone used a side to side with a new born?

Re: Spinoff: Strollers
I believe most of the regular moms on this site have real little ones. Right now most are only using the double snap and go. I posted about strollers a while ago and that seemed to be the concensus.
The only one I can remember who is using the side by side is IrishTracy but her girls are over 1 now.

Re: Spinoff: Strollers
We bought the Aria Twin by Peg Perego. It is lightweight and folds easily. I read a lot of reviews and this one got better feedback than others.

Re: Spinoff: Strollers
I never got a side by side, since I wanted to be able to use the infant carrier in the stroller. I have the duoglider, it is boig but we like it.
I did get two single strollers also and when I wanta side by side, I attache them together with these locks I bought at TRU.

Re: Spinoff: Strollers
Up untilnow, I've been using the snap and go. The tins are 3 months and I just used my side by side on Halloween. It's lightweight and they now are sitting very well in it. I think to use the side by side the baby has to have a decent amount of head control. I have a Chicco Velocita.

Re: Spinoff: Strollers
thanks. my dh and i went to BRU and played with the strollers some more. i just really wasnt crazy about the front to backs. i really loved how light the side to sides was. The combi/peg perego ones were great. maybe ill get a sling/carrier for the newborn and push JIavana in the carriage for the first few months, then use the side by side.

Re: Spinoff: Strollers
i also have 2 babies that are 11 months apart and they are now almost 1&2...and have yet to find a stroller i love!
In the beginning i used the front to back stroller ( i think it was the graco)and snapped my little guy in in his car seat. It was soooo heavy and so difficult to fold up & put in my trunk that one day I got so frustrated that I just threw it out(stupid move!)
By this time my little one was about 4 months old, so i bought the jeep umbrella side by side-i like this stroller bc its so lightweight, but the drawback is that its wide so to go shopping with it is a PITA bc its difficult to fit thru aisles and doorways.
My cousin has twins and she has the peg perego side by side(i think its the aria) and I would recommend this one for you. Its lightweight, and narrow for a side by side. Its expensive tho, but worth it. I would get this now but i think my husband would kill me if he sees another stroller box outside near my garbage! I have gone thru so many double strollers that i didnt like that i can open a shop!! My next one will def be a joovy sit n stand!
