Do you find it strange about Erotic Books
When someone recommends a book to you and its quite erotic?
For instance, my MIL recommended a book to me recently and I just read it and it has quite a few very erotic sections in it. I laughed my head off after the first bit because my MIL told me that this was her favorite book!!!

If it was my MIL, I would definitely find it strange. My friends read some novels with some trashy love scenes. Keeps their imagination alive. I also had a friend who wrote (and published) herotica.
I guess a good way to freak out DH would be to read him those scenes & then say "Can you believe your mom recommended this book?!"

Its not like a HUGELY erotic novel, actually its about the first world war...but I was shocked when I read the first erotic passage and I have a vision of my little British MIL sitting down in her easy chair (which looks like it belongs in a nursing home) with a nice cup of tea reading this erotic scene!!!
The book was "Birdsong" by Sebastian Faulks. It was very "warry" and I preferred the erotic chapters...

Years ago back on LI Weddings we did a book club and read "Topping From Below" it was sexual (about S&M). Really good book - I definitely felt weird telling people about it and recommending it but I really liked it so I do. I just preface it before making the recommendation.

Sorry rarely come on here even though I'm a big reader. She wrote short stories & won an award. She was a guest at the Exotic Erotica Ball in San Francisco. Haven't followed up on her career in ages.
