i usually give them a few bucks...$2-$3...the extra dollar depends on whether or not they were nice to me whilst washing my hair.

$5-7 depending on how many times they wash (like when I get color and they have to wash it two or more times)...am I cheap? I never know 
ETA - I never go for just a haircut without getting color so its never just one wash. If it was, I'd probably give $3.

I give her $10 because she takes out my foils and washes out the color and ends up applying the toner and washing that as well.

eta: i dont get highlights or anything. she just washes my hair before my haircut.

Uh oh, I am cheap 
So what do you tip the haircutter? I usually give $10-12 (20%) - I feel weird tipping the same to the person who takes the foils out.

Well, like I said..this is when I'm getting color, which is every time I go. I don't usually go for haircuts, I go every 3 months and get color and a cut done at the same time. So, I tip my hairdress 20%, which ends up being $30 usually and I tip the washer $10 because she is doing a lot of work between the toner and the 3-4 times she's washing my hair. I'm usually at the salon for a good 3 hours

Oh, so the same person does your cut and color? I have different people - so I tip at least $20 to the colorist depending on what I have done, $10-12 to the haircutter, $5-7 to the washer. So on top of the $150+ it costs me, I've got about $40 in tips. DH hates that I spend so much money on my hair...

usually $5 and only when I get color. When I get cut I usually come in with my hair washed.
