I normally pay $10 each
or $20 for jeans- to put the bottoms back on- $10 if you just want a hem

The seamstress at my dry cleaner also charges $10 per pair of pants, as long as they aren't lined.... I usually end up getting all my pants hemmed because I have short legs, so a great deal (like $12 Old Navy jeans) aren't such a bargain when I have to add in $10 to hem!

If you don't mind me asking, what do you mean by "putting the bottoms back on"? I just bought 4 pairs of jeans today that need to be hemmed, but I don't want them to look hemmed. How do they put the bottoms back on? Does it look good...like they haven't been hemmed? Thanks!

jeans come with that hem around the bottom already
I have my cleaners cut the bottom hem off, shorten the jeans and then put the hem that was orginally on the jeans back on
then they don't looked hemmed
you can't even tell when they do it

My cleaner charges depending upon how complicated it is. I had suit pants with a lining hemmed for $10. I also had a pair of banana republic lined pants that were a complicated split pleat hemmed and those cost $12.

just a tip about Banana - they will hemmed them for FREE if you have a BR card
