Observations between DH & I:
-it's amazing how easy it is to keep a clean house.
-we need a lot less snackes
-we didn't lose the art of adult conversation as much as we thought
-hearing their little voices through the phone makes us both a little teary.
-my kids really can't have a full conversation without getting distracted.
-Maddie's conversation of what you did today never is a summary of the highlights. It includes snippets like everything she put in her mouth, everything that Joseph did wrong & "and then I brushed my hair."
-our imaginary-married-no kids life where you do exciting things in reality is boring.
-I can catch my early train on a daily basis.
-we both feel like we've forgotten something important when we're driving to and from the train.
-our lives are not nearly as much fun without them here.
So we're going to get them tomorrow and then to DisneyWorld.
Awww.. Enjoy!!! I loved that... So cute!!! Enjoy Disney! (I am secretly jealous... I can't wait to go to disney!)

Rob and I took an anniversary trip without the kids last year. It was pleasant - we slept well, we didn't have to correct anyone's behavior at supper, we got to go out whenever we wanted and do whatever we wanted... and we kept saying "This isn't as exciting as I imagined." Glad to know we aren't the only suckers!
Have fun in Disney! I've NEVER been there and I am jealous!

I'm sure I'll be able to confirm most of that within the next 24 hours
Funny how a day at the Met pales in comparison to seeing my DC's portraits on their Doodle-Pros
Have fun
