Re: Spinoff x 2... PETS at WORK.

That sounds absolutely revolting!!! UGH! Chat Icon

Speaking of which, I used to work for a design company called Mad Dogs and Englishmen. It was one crazy place, consisting mainly of well, dogs and EnglishmenChat Icon. At any given day, there were anything from 2 to 6 dogs in the office. I must say though, not once during the time I was there, was there any kind of issues that you described. Those dogs were watched and taken out regularly and they were not allowed to misbehave.

Your situation sounds beyond disgusting. I am gagging just thinking about it! Hope the dog stops coming around!Chat Icon

Re: Spinoff x 2... PETS at WORK.

My boss brings her 2 small dogs w/ her to the office. There are only 4 of us but it drives me crazy!
Mostly because we are business casual even though we never have clients in the office (her family stops by that’s it and it's all show for them!). It pizzes me off that I have my nice pants on etc and her dogs are jumping all over me. Once time 1 even peed on me! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Spinoff x 2... PETS at WORK.

This would disgust me!

I am not a dog person. That's why I don't own a dog, because I do not want to be around one all day. If I wanted to get paid for being around animals all day, I'd go work at Petco.

Completely disrespectful of others, complete sense of entitlement on the part of the dog owner.

(I actually feel that way about people who bring their children to work every time there's a childcare snafu too. Once or twice a year, fine... on a semi-regular basis, not ok at all. And I do have two children, I just don't inflict them on other people for my own selfish purposes, and likewise I don't want to be forced to deal with other people's kids with no say in the matter)

Re: Spinoff x 2... PETS at WORK.

I hate it! I work at my FIL's company and sometimes they have to bring the dog here. It happened a lot when the house was on the market and they had open houses, he would just bring the dog to the office. I am not a fan of dogs and can't stand being at MY desk at MY job and worrying about a dog Chat Icon

Re: Spinoff x 2... PETS at WORK.

I worked for a company that let us bring our dogs. (I didn't have one at the time.) Of course no one seemed to mind and the dogs that did come were well trained. As much as I'd love to bring my dog to work, he'd bother EVERYONE Chat Icon

I can't believe some people don't have the sense to realize their disgusting dog(s) bother other people!

I'm a huge dog lover so I'd love it. I'm in the healthcare field so we can't have any kind of pets in our offices Chat Icon

Re: Spinoff x 2... PETS at WORK.

That is horrendous!!! No one has ever needed to bring their pet in, I almost can't imagine a reason why you'd have to bring in a pet, but I'm sure people have their reasons.

I'd love to have my smushy snuggly cat at work Chat Icon But its highly unprofessional IMO.

I worked at an awful investigation firm years ago with HORRIBLE bosses/owners, and the one of the them, the crazy woman, had a dog as a pet.

She brought in the disgusting-looking dog everyday and it drooled and went to the bathroom (1 and 2) every day in someone's cubicle..he just went everywhere. He'd growl & yap, too.

It was so awkward to have to go back to her office in the back, and say, "Excuse me, I know you're busy, but your dog just went to the bathroom near my feet."

You'd go to the copier and there'd be chewed up dog toys everywhere. It was absolutely disgusting.

That's so funny. I worked at an investigation firm too years ago and it was the same thing!! I wonder if it was the same place lol. She also asked us to walk her dog sometimes. I was like hell no!!!

Re: Spinoff x 2... PETS at WORK.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I would LOVE to have my dog with me at work. Not possible, since I'm a teacher, but I definately would not mind it if I worked in an office, nor would I mind if anyone else did.
