#1 is awesome and I am always looking for things that could be used for an older kid too. Which i think that one could. Lots of storage. I think it's great. The racecar? Eh-sorta young. Is your son old enough to not fall out or i guess you can get a rail

Re: Mommies - Need help picking out bed for toddler
I bought my son a captain's bed. I LOVE IT. It is a twin but it is not as high as a regular twin. Plus, it has 3 huge drawers underneath. Perfect for so many reasons: child can't hide under bed no monsters can hide under bed no toys can be pushed under the bed.
if you are interested, i will take a picture.

Re: Mommies - Need help picking out bed for toddler
I wouldn't do any of them. The bunk beds look like they'd be a PITA to change the sheets on. Potty training requires middle of the night changes of sheets.
As for the race car, very cool. The only reason I wouldn't get it is that I'd rather buy furniture they'd use long term rather than waste money on a toddler bed or something they're not going to want in 5 years. (sorry, just MHO)
eta. sorry didn't realize he's 4, the bunk beds are fine.

Re: Mommies - Need help picking out bed for toddler
I had gotten soemthing like the 3rd for my son when he was 5. Only instead of the desk being on the Inside, it was on the outside and there was another bed on the lower level. Not only did he love it, but now that hes 10 he can have a friend sleep over and they each have a bed..

Re: Mommies - Need help picking out bed for toddler
My son has a Little Tikes twin race car bed and it takes up alot of room! He has a big room luckily but he'll be sharing soon. How old is your son? I like the loft beds but I posted on the spinoff thread about it being recommended not to put kids younger than 6 in a bunkbed or loft bed. I never heard that but I just read that recently b/c I am eventually going to do bunkbeds for my boys.
