True but the registry is two pages long and its one item
So now what do I do if I don't want the bride to get doubles? Buy it so it comes off the registry and return it?? what a pain.

Yes, there are some sickos out there that would do that!
In any case, if she does get a duplicate, she can return the one to BBB and get cash for it.

maybe if you bring the item to the store, they will remove it or mark it "fulfiilled"
I agree - PIA!

Re: BBB vent
I wonder if you could buy the same item from BB & B and then return it without telling them it was off a registry. That way it will come off the registry but not go back on when you return it.

People like people who know the bride and don't like her or some stranger that just looks at the registry online?? I have never heard of this!

Re: BBB vent
Honestly, as a bride, I wouldn't want someone else messing with my registry, even if it meant I would get doubles. From what I hear, BBB has such a liberal return policy that I wouldn't worry about it.
And I don't put it past spiteful people to do something mean to a bride like removing or changing the registry. I think after hearing some of these MIL stories, some of them might do it.

Re: BBB vent
I wouldn't be surprised. My Mil was calling saying she was me to find out who bought what of my registery in fortunoff before my shower. I actually went in to fortunoff and asked them either to block the registery or put a password on it which they couldnt do either of. But yeah there are crazy people out there.

well you tried. if the bride to be gets your gift as a double, just play dumb and tell her that they must not have removed the item from her registry

Re: BBB vent
hmmm.
If you do a lot of shopping there, you could buy it off the registry and then return it without the receipt and get a store credit.
But, then you'd be risking them giving you credit for a lower selling price.
Are you gonna tell us what the item was?????
