Re: Irritated...vent/advice?

I would be very annoyed too. I have much younger sibling (the oldest are more than 10 years younger) and their loser boyfriends/girlfriends always get included in family functions.

Re: Irritated...vent/advice?

Would you talk to your brother and tell him that you really wanted to go with your mom and dad to this one?

I already told him that I picked THIS game for him - so that he could see Biggio. I was really looking forward to going with him and Dad. Chat Icon

Yes! And the boyfriends that my sisters bring home are the biggest losers I have ever seen! I had to request and double check that for my daughter's 1st birthday there weren't going to be any "friends" over.

Um, am I a total beyotch? Because I say a big, fat OH WELL to that. I mean, give me a break, it was nice enough that your family was going to take her in the first place. It was a misunderstanding, she needs to deal. End of story.

Re: Irritated...vent/advice?

I agree Rach - that's exactly what I said to my Mom - right before she called me a total beyotch. Excuuuuse me, but I think imposing on someone's family is beyotchy!!!

I mean - my parents took her to see Phantom yesterday. What more does she want?!?!

Re: Irritated...vent/advice?

My Dad is Mr. Nice Guy. He won't want to offend the "guest" (gf), so I know he'll give up his seat for her. That's exactly what I DON'T WANT!!! Chat Icon

Eh, I guess I'll just speak my mind to Dad tomorrow and see where that gets me.

thanks ladies Chat Icon

Well basically in this situation I would tell your brother to tell his girlfriend that she can't go to this game, that he messed up. She's 15, she'll get over at some point.
If I am understanding correctly your mom doesn't really want to go and you want to go with Rich, your dad and brother?

Re: Irritated...vent/advice?

Your brother needs to tell his girlfriend that you bought those tickets for him and your dad and that there was a mix-up.

You should be going with your Dad and Bro and Rich- no if ands or buts!

Re: Irritated...vent/advice?

Vent on!!! I would be slightly proturbed to say the least. You invited them to a game...you gave them tickets and now your lil bro is going to take his "skinny beotch" (i believe that is the term you used) who he probably wont even be dating 1-6 months from now!
I remember hs and how everything was sooo important and all that, so I think you just have to be the bigger person and let it go. It sounds rough but if we all held resentments over the slightest thing the world would be scarrrry. Chat Icon
