The second one because if you need to put extra people around the table or a long table cloth the legs on the first one bump out

Personally I think they are both very nice. But also very different. One is traditional while the other is more contemporary. I am not really sure you can compare the 2.
If I had to choose from only those 2 sets, I would choose the first.

I like the style of two better. But I am very much into contrast and like the dark wood and white cushions on table one much more than the dark on dark.

I like the first table and the second china cab, which is no help.
As for changing the knobs, I usually do with furniture. Super easy.
