09/05 moms - potty training
Any of your kids showing interest in potty training.
I *think* Talia is starting to show some interest - and I have NO clue where to begin!

Re: 09/05 moms - potty training
Not an 9/05 mom but Julia is showing some interest in it, she will want to take her diaper off and sit on the potty, and she even gets herself some toilet paper to hold in her hand, and she wipes herself too, even though she didn't go yet--lol
I think it will take some more time, she has to learn to tell me before she goes in her diaper.

Re: 09/05 moms - potty training
Well I am an 11/05 mom, but have been wondering about this too.
Once a couple of months ago she was naked because she just got out of the bath, sat down on her Dora chair and said "pee pee" and peed all over it. I went out and bought her a potty the next day, which she pushes all around the house saying "potty".
A few times she has told me that she pooped and lately she has been asking me to take her diaper off.
With her personality there is no way I am going to let her think going on the potty is my idea! So I am going to keep letting her watch me go, I tell her "mommy is going pee pee on the potty now" and she laughs and sits on hers.

Re: 09/05 moms - potty training
im a 1/06 mom and dd has been showing interest since she is 14 months old and we are able to get her to the toilet in time. we are still in diapers and i purchased pull up and learn an feel diapers but plan to start the pull ups in about 2 weeks when i run out of regular diapers. we have had a couple of messes like her peeing on the floor an some days she decides not to tell us she went and other days its like clockwork. my pediatrician said not to rush her and i dont. he advised putting her on the toilet first thing in the morning and after a bottle or a meal. i run the water and it seems to do the trick. good luck fm if you have any questions.

Re: 09/05 moms - potty training
Bella has been showing interest for a couple of months...just that interest.
She has her own toilet that comes in and "hangs out" on while I am in the bathroom, she will sit for like 30 seconds on the toilet with her spongebob insert, but that's it.
I have noticed that her diaper tends to be dry in the morning when she first wakes up. I am gonna wait until July and then start...
Bella is one of those gems, she ain't gonna learn or do ANYTHING unless she is ready (and that is with everything) I have a feeling it's just gonna be one day of her being like OK, I am ready. (that would be nice )

Re: 09/05 moms - potty training
Not really
he does like to throw things in the toilet and flush it while saying "water"
I keep telling him when I go pee pee and "number two" so he knocks on the bathroom door and says "mommy peepee" I'm trying to get him to make mental connection
I predict it is going to def be after two closer to three years old before he is trained.

Re: 09/05 moms - potty training
Alex is showing interest, but there's no way in hell she's letting me "teach" her, or push her towards it, because god knows, she has the most fiercely strong-willed personality on the planet
So, basically, I take her to the bathroom with me anytime I "potty", and she'll take off her pants and diaper, and sit on her potty at the same time. She'll even take some toilet paper and wipe herself, even though she hasn't done anything
It helps that our neighbor's daughter, who is exactly 2 years old, is potty trained, so anytime they're over our house, and Abigail goes to the "potty", I"ll bring Alex into the bathroom with her so she can watch - Alex usually starts doing something when all her little friends are doing it, so I'm hoping Abigail will set the example for her!

Re: 09/05 moms - potty training
I'm a 7/05 mom. Christopher has shown interest for a long time. He tells me when he needs to be changed (I wish he'd tell me beforehand ) and hates the feeling of a wet/poo diaper. I try to show him, but I really feel lost with how to go about doing this. He can take off his own pants and will sit on the potty, but that's about it. It's a start, right?

A 9/05 Mommy here, we bought Jenna a Dora potty yesterday, but I think she is more fascinated by the box than the actual potty

Re: 09/05 moms - potty training
Not 9/05 mommy but since other 7/05 mommies answered, I will too.
Jake is showing a little interest. We are reading him potty books. He gets the concept that you go on the potty, wipe, flush, then wash your hands but when I ask him if he has poops in his diapers he lies and says no if he does, yes if he doesn't.
I don't feel he's ready so I'm not going to push him. I have not taken the potty out of the box yet.

Re: 09/05 moms - potty training
Ava has been showing interest for a while now. She has been doing pee pee on the potty for a few weeks now. Everytime I have her sit down she goes but I haven't been consistent with it because of work. School is almost over so next week I'm going to put her in underwear and keep taking her. I think she will be easy because she has been telling me everytime she goes and then tries to pull her diaper off. Good luck
