1-2 year olds - Bedtime Routines?
Can u share your routine?
DS is 13.5 months. Right now he still gets a bottle and its while I rock him. I want to change it up, so he gets it earlier and then we can brush his teeth:) just wondering what others do.
Thanks!

We did the same thing until about the same age as well. I loved rocking her to sleep with the bottle but since she finally started to get more teeth I felt we needed to brush AFTER the bottle.
One night I just changed it up and she was totally fine with it... bath, bottle & book, brush teeth, into crib. She wasn't a huge fan of being rocked anymore anyway since about 10/11 months old and I knew she could go down on her own without being rocked so it wasn't a huge change.

Thanks - guess I just need to make the change. I'm just so nervous he won't sleep:)!

Re: 1-2 year olds - Bedtime Routines?
We always did bottle, brush teeth & bed. We did a lil more w/DS...he was our first...but for the most part we did bedtime quickly once they were sleeping thru the night.
No routine really, no book b/c we read a ton to them during the day. I didn't want to get into too much of an extensive routine b/c by that time of night I was ready to relax myself and wanted their bedtime to be quick and done with, leaving them no excuse to delay it either...mind you, I am a sahm so I am getting my fare share of cuddle time during the day and don't need to spend any extra time helping them fall asleep. I am a believer in letting them learn that on their own!
That being said, bedtime now is a breeze, DS is 3 and DD is 2. We do dinner 5pm, bath 6pm, milk/juice right after bath and bed at 8ish. 99% of the time they go in no problem.
