1 year olds....
are you still on the bottle? how many a day?
DD still gets 4 bottles. I think I need to cut one out and do more with the sippy. She seems to want them all though. Do I replace one with a snack? Let me hear what you do!!!
I have a 25 lb 11.5 year old

Re: 1 year olds....
My DD will be 14 months old tomorrow and she still has 3 milk bottles. She refuses to drink milk out of her sippy cup. She has a 4oz bottle in the morning with breakfast, 5-6 oz bottle before her afternoon nap & her last bottle is 7-8 oz before she goes to bed.

They get 3 sippy cups per day - 1 when they wake up, 1 before their afternoon nap (and about 1/2 hour after lunch), 1 right before bed. They also have a sippy with water throughout the day.

Re: 1 year olds....
Lily just turned 1 and I am phasing in milk. Starting today I'm going to cut out one bottle (she was on 3 and has just started refusing 1.) I can't get her to drink anything out of a sippy cup. I'm going to give her one 8 oz bottle (part formula, part milk) before her morning nap and one before bedtime.

Re: 1 year olds....
at 1 year, 2 weeks Maddie is down to 3 bottles... so-so with the sippy cup- sometimes she is totally into it, other times she throws it at me. (I am not kidding).

Re: 1 year olds....
My DD gets a bottle in the am when she wakes ...about 2-4 oz... then an hr later w/ bfast she gets either a sippy cup or bottle with handles... of watered down juice... she still hates holding her bottle so it gets tossed everywhere. I try to give her a few oz. before her nap in the afternoon and then she drinks about 4 oz before bed. She hardly drinks whole bottles anymore. I have to hold them or she wont drink them. She is 11 mo. So basiclally she gets 2 'official bottles' a day and juice or water.

Re: 1 year olds....
I have the same issue with DS. He is 11.5 months & still on 4 bottles. My ped told me that when we switch to milk that he can only have 3 milk bottles & the other has to be something else.... Juice, water etc...

Re: 1 year olds....
DD is 13 months old but I weaned her from the bottle at 11 months. She was getting 4 bottles a day at that point. When we decided to start transitioning, I gave her 3 bottles and replaced her 4th with a sippy. We did that for 2-3 days and then replaced an additional one. It took about 2 weeks to change all of the bottles to sippy cups. Now she only has 3 milk sippies a day and the others are water.
Definitely replace the snack one first. My DD is on the smaller side, just 20lbs at 13 months.

same with my boys, but their last one is a bottle right before bed.
