Re: 100 calorie snacks
I try and stay away from them - they are such bad news. They don't do anything for me My favorite are definitely the chocolate hostess cupcakes.

Oh just for me personally. They don't fill me up and are too small to satisfy me. I would rather spend 100 calories somewhere else and make it count by eating something healthy that will benefit me.
Low-fat cottage cheese (4 oz): 80 calories Raisins (50 or about 1 oz): 85 calories Skim milk latte (8 oz): 85 calories Air-popped popcorn (3 cups or 1 oz): 95 calories Graham crackers (8 small rectangles): 100 calories Thin pretzel sticks (48 sticks or 1 oz): 100 calories Celery (5 pieces) with peanut butter (1 Tbsp): 100 calories Unsweetened applesauce (1 cup): 100 calories An apple (small) with low-fat cheese (2 oz): 150 calories Baby carrots (10) with hummus (1/4 cup): 150 calories Peanuts (a handful or 1 oz): 160 calories Raw almonds (a handful or 1 oz): 165 calories Low-fat yogurt (6 oz): 175 calories Tortilla chips (12 chips or 1 oz) with salsa (1/2 cup): 175 calories Whole wheat Ritz crackers (10 crackers or 1 oz) with peanut butter (1/2 Tbsp): 175 calories

I have a HUGE sweet tooth - it's terrible!! One of the biggest changes I have learned to make is that if I want something sweet, I have a piece of fruit. Last night I came very close to have DH's light ice cream in the fridge, but I have no flex points left Instead I had a banana and it filled me up and satisfied me. It takes time but it treally helps to try replacing the craving with something healthier. I love apricots - that sounds good

Re: 100 calorie snacks
I agree with Azad, I'd rather something more nutritious for my 100 calories. BUT, I do get the 100 calorie packs occasionally to satisfy a sweet tooth, but I try to eat them sparingly.
I love the new ones that just came out-- the Oreo and Chips Ahoy Candy Bites... YUM.
Also, you can get the smaller snack bags of popcorn-- which are 100 calories as well. I love the fat free Kettle Corn. It's a lot of popcorn, and it has fiber and protein-- this is a GREAT snack. I pop this up and put it in a ziploc and sneak it in at the movies.
I also really like the Lorna Doone cookies, dipped it some tea. This makes it much more filling when you have it with a cup of tea.

Ah yes forgot about this one!!! Try this I am sure you will love it. It's also a bit sweet and salty so it satisfies both - YUM!
Randi I am too scared to try the candies because I know they'll be delicious but you don't get much in there. Damn portions

I have a sweet tooth too-- and what I have been having lately at night is my own version of a Chai Latte. In my previous post-- the tea really helps to fill me up-- I guess it's the liquid.
I use decaf Chai Tea, some lite vanilla soy milk, and then one or two splendas. It's sweet, filling and the perfect thing to have after dinner while relaxing and watching TV. It's probably only about 15-20 calories for the small amount of milk added in.

Re: 100 calorie snacks
I actually just prefer a small piece of dark chocolate...much more satisfying. With that said I do keep one box of something around...usually the cupcakes or those oreo candy bites.

I stay away from them. Last one I tried was the cheez-its. Not enough in there to satisfy me at all.

Re: 100 calorie snacks
I try to avoid them but I do keep some 100 calorie packs around in case of a sweeth tooth emergency. I will only eat the ones that Trader Joe's makes though because they don't use the hydrated oils that the other ones have.

Re: 100 calorie snacks
I like the ones that are a smaller portion of the regular snack. Like the doritos and cheetos....
I don't like the ones that are a "take" on the original.. like the oreo flat cookies and the chips ahoy flat cookies.
I agree with the previous posters though, they don't fill me up enough.
Love the new reeses pieces ones!
