11 days after c-section
Im having some pain still but not in the incision, its actually a few inches above. Its soo sore to even touch and my shirts bother it too. Is this all expected from a c-section? Also what should I expect at my first OB visit since the surgery? Do they touch your stomach? What else do they do?

Re: 11 days after c-section
I always seemed to have pain above my incision and not on the incision. It eventually goes away. At my first post-op visit he just checked the incision to make sure it was healing ok and asked some questions about how I was doing. That was it!

do they press on your belly button to find your uterus to see if its hardening? That really makes me jump off the table...Im so worried about this visit tmw! I hope its all you said it was!

Re: 11 days after c-section
I think he may have but I was never in any pain from it and he didn't put any pressure on the area where the incision was. Are your staples out?

Re: 11 days after c-section
I have the same tenderness feeling a few inches above my incision. My midwife said this is common.
At my 2 week post partum check up, they took my weight, blood pressure, removed the steri-strips, and that was it. They did not press my uterus.

Same happened with me.
I just got back from my 6 week post up check up and that is when he pressed my uterus.

Re: 11 days after c-section
The soreness is due to the internal incisions they made- like in the muscle wall and in the uterus itself. It DOES get better (I hear)
I had a previous surgery before my c-section and I had the same incision. That area gets sore, then numb and then in about 6 months it starts to feel normal again..

Re: 11 days after c-section
It didn't hurt at all. One of my stiches popped a few days after coming home from the hospital but the dr said it would heal on its own. I think you will feel pain for awhile.
