12-15 months old- how many naps?
DD is 13.5 months and I think she's trying to get down to 1 nap a day.
Used to take 1.5 hour nap around 9:30am, then maybe close to an hour again in the afternoon.
Now, she goes down around 10:30 and naps a little less than 1.5 hours. Then she is tired in the afternoon, but won't go down for the last few days.
I know around these ages they may start transitioning to 1 nap per day. I'm just hoping she'll go down for her nap a little later though, so she'll even out a bit.

Re: 12-15 months old- how many naps?
Hey C,
DD's nap sked has been a bit off lately too. She too used to go off around 9-930 & some days she does for 1.5 or so.
Other days she'll stay up until 11 & then sleep 2 hours.
She'll usually go in for a 2nd nap around 2-3 (although today she was fighting it but finally nodded off

Re: 12-15 months old- how many naps?
My DS is about a week younger than you DD and he switched to one nap for a long time now (months) can't remember how long sorry....
He usually goes down around 3-3 1/2 hours after he wakes up in the morning and will usually nap anywhere from 1.5-3 hours
(today being an exception, if you read my post)

Re: 12-15 months old- how many naps?
DD is almost 14 months and still naps twice a day, although she fights the afternoon nap. My rule is I put her in her crib in the afternoon and give her an hour, if she's still awake playing we skip the nap. 9 times out of 10 she falls asleep within 15 minutes or so.

Erin turns 1 year on Thursday and takes only 1 nap for about 1-3 hours depending on the day. I wish she took 2, but she stopped the second one at about 4 months.

Re: 12-15 months old- how many naps?
Jack was napping almost two hours from 10:30-11ish before we left for Italy.
NOW - he goes down no later than 10am and they are only lasting an hour or so.
That is it for the entire day - and he is cranky and tired by the end of it. I need this to change asap!

Re: 12-15 months old- how many naps?
Troy is 15 mos and he transitioned on his own to one nap a day. He will go down between 11:45 and 12:30 and sleep for 90min to 2 hrs. It is nice b/c I feel like I can get things done (at home, obviously) in that time.
He did this transition about 2-3 weeks ago
ETA: He goes to bed bet 6:30-7pm and get sup bet. 6:30-7am

Re: 12-15 months old- how many naps?
just shy of 15 months and we're still taking 2 pretty long naps.
1st nap is now around 8/830 for about 2 hours.
2nd nap is now around 2/2:30 from anywhere from 1-2 hours.
Then bedtime has been pushed out anywhere from 7-8pm
Since we've started letting her CIO for naps they have become MUCH longer.

Re: 12-15 months old- how many naps?
DS is 15 months old and when we are home he takes two two hour naps.
Sometimes when he is at the sitters or we are out and about he doesn't take one at all and sometimes he takes 1 for up to 2 hours.

At that age she was still taking two 1 1/2 to 2 hour naps a day. At about 19 months...she went to one 2 to 3 hour nap from 12-2 or 3.

Re: 12-15 months old- how many naps?
After a few BAD days of not sleeping and going to bed at 11pm, we back on track.
DS takes 2 naps per day. They are shorter but there are still 1-2 hours in the morning and 1-2 hours in the afternoon.

Re: 12-15 months old- how many naps?
1 or 2 a day.
He always has a morning one for about 1 to 2 hours. ( closer to one and 1/2)
Sometimes he will fight the afternoon one...but then he starts getting really drowsy around 5 pm.
So its obvious he still needs 2 naps a day.
Usually the afternoon nap is an hour to 1 and 1/2

12 months...2 a day... 10:00..usually one hour 3:00...30 min - one hour
Very similar here. Usually 2-2.5hrs per day in 2 naps also 12 mos.
I remember when my older went to 1 nap and did it too early in the day. Each day try to hold them more and more awake (even if just 5-15 mins) until you get it where you want it to be.

Re: 12-15 months old- how many naps?
She is still going down for 2 naps for the most part. I make sure she has first always, but second if I am not home for it then no biggy. Also, I noticed if I put her down at 3 she will sleep. If I put her down at 4 she will play.
DS was down to 1 nap a day at this age for the most part. If he had as short morning nap then I made sure to give him an afternoon one too. I did a lot of walking with him so sometimes he would nap in the stroller when we were out.
