14 weeks, 5 days PG and a negative on the HPT? (MASSIVE UPDATE- needs prayers)
Thanks for letting me know this all sounded stupid.

MASSIVE UPDATE:
Beta is back.
SHE IS 16 weeks PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!! 
Please pray she comes to her senses and her husband actually gets off his a$$ and gets a job.
SHe really needs prayers. She has had no prenatal care and is a high risk PG with her heart condition. This is just horrible.

was a blood test done??
this sounds wierd to me
and i never heard about the coke thing either. i drank coke my entire pregnancy and was able to get positive tests
praying for ur family

I'm an RN........and I'm REALLY
Coke should have NO effect on a pregnancy test.............how old is your friend? is she pre-menopausal (this CAN start in the 30's) or does she have PCOS?

Strange about the Coke....
I have a friend that with her 2nd pregnancy didn't know she was pregnant until she was 5 months along. She was on the pill and it wasn't until she went for her yearly exam that she found out.
I know it's not the same scenerio... but strange nontheless

I've suspected for a while that she has PCOS. But God forbid she, or her husband, get a freaking job that has insurance. OOF! DOn't get me started. SERENITY NOW!!!

I'm sure she's not pregnant, it would show up on a pregnancy test. I had cycles that were 3-4 months long before and I was def not pregnant. But I remember when I was in college and had to go to a clinic for an exam and hadn't had my period in months- the nurse did not believe that I was not pregnant, even though I told her this was normal for me. She got me so scared for no reason.

Not always....
My same friend who I mentioned above, when she was pregnant with her oldest son never got a positive on a pee stick pregnancy test. She knew something was off, went to the Dr. and found out through bloodwork she was pregnant. She was almost 11 weeks pregnant at that point.

i have a friend who was pregnant and never tested positive on a home pregnancy test. but i have no idea how your friend's nurse determined she was pregnant right then and there? strange.
