That is the date of my heart surgery, actually two surgeries. The valve replacement and a maze surgery. We decided on the flesh valve over the mechanical valve. The maze surgery will prevent the atrial fibrillation I was having. We are doing this now to try to prevent a heart transplant. If this works, then it buys me time. I feel nervous yet optimistic. We meet the surgeon today and all he does is work on children and adults with congenital heart defects. He is excellent and it completely trust him. He's no McDreamy to look at, but a very nice guy.
All in all this means after the surgeries I will be off all meds and have an easier time loosing weight, I will feel better, I will be a better wife and mom to Gracie.
Thank you all for your words of encouragement, prayers and hugs throughout all my tests and doctor appts. It means more than you know.

ETA: I am having a hard time wrapping my head around that fact that I cannot pick up my DD for FOUR weeks  . My MIL will be living with us while I recover to take care of my DD and me. This is the hardest part of all.
