1.5 week old newborn and 3 year old with a cold

DD1 has been hugging/kissing DD2 since she came home from hospital. We've been practicing good hand washing before touching the baby, but she's definitely
Planted a few kisses on her mouth before we could stop her...: now dd1 has a cold (runny nose little cough but no fever) dd2 is EBF so I'm hoping my kindergarten teacher immunity carries over lol..... Anyone have any experience with this? Dd1 just can't understand why she can't kiss the baby (or she's just not listening!)

I don't have experience with this particularly, but my Dd was EBF and I had plenty of colds and a sinus infection at one point and Dd never got sick at all (and of course i hugged and kissed her all the time, before knowing I was sick). Hopefully you've developed anti-bodies to your DDs cold and will pass them on to the baby through the breast milk!

I'd keep a close eye on the baby though, and contact the ped if you suspect at all she might be catching the cold, bc she is still so young.
