1st Birthday at Restaurant/Hall - Gift Help
I'm attending a first birthday party at a restaurant/hall and need help with a gift.
What's the norm? A wrapped up gift (ex: toy, clothing, jewelry) or a card with money?
If your answer is money, what's the average a couple would give?
Thanks for any advice!

I usually spend between $30-$50 on a wrapped gift. Toys, books, etc.

Re: 1st Birthday at Restaurant/Hall - Gift Help
We just had ours at a restaurant/catering space. DD mostly received clothes (which I was happy about), books, a few toys, and money—mostly $50. I wasn't expecting people to give bigger gifts/money because we chose to have it at a place. (We just couldn't fit everyone in our small home.) It's a 1st birthday. Unless it's a nephew/niece or very close family member, friend, I don't usually spend more than $50 either.
