1st birthday cake smash question
Did your lo try cake before their 1st bday? I know they're not supposed to have dairy before age 1. Is there a different type if cake/frosting you got?

1st birthday cake smash question
We were approved for dairy at I think 8 months. DS is 9 months and has been eating yogurt for a while, he has had cheese also. He has tasted cake but just a little piece.

We did DS's cake smash at 10.5 months. That wasn't the first time he had cake though. I have never heard no dairy before one. All my kids had it way before that.

She had little tastes of cake before a year (& other "bad" stuff like ice cream, piece of a cookie)
Her party was last week & she started clapping after she tasted her cake, it was really cute

1st birthday cake smash question
unless theres an allergy you can absolutely give dairy before age 1!! DD was eating cheese, egg yellow, and yogurt starting at 8m. we also occasionally gave her bites of ice cream cake. she did have bites of cupcake here and there before her birthday, but the smash cake was the first time she really chowed down on cake.
