1st birthday favors

I really love the idea of personalized favors for DS's first birthday, but I (of course) waited until the last minute. Chat Icon His party is next Saturday, so ordering online or personalization is pretty much not an option. Anyone have any last minute ideas? I am just doing favors for the kids (approx. 16). I don't really have a theme, just blue and white, first birthday with stars. Thanks!

THat's a great idea. Stupid question, though. . . . how do I personalize them? Is there a special pen or do I just use a sharpy marker? Can you tell that I do not have a creative bone in my body?!Chat Icon

I'd say a sharpie or you can get those metallic pens

You could do it with sharpy or go to a craft store to get markers.

I just picked up a bunch (pails w/shovels) at Target for our favors...in the $1 section Chat Icon I'm only putting a name tag on them...but they had pink and blue, so it worked perfectly for boys and girls Chat Icon

Thanks! I think I'll try this. Any ideas of what to put in them or can I just leave them empty?

Great idea! What do you think is the age limit for this favor? SHould I do something different for the older kids?

I did pails for DS party too. I got bubbles and beach balls at party city and rubber ducks for the little kids and soft baseballs for the older kids. Also, I put animal crackers and goldfish in there.

Re: 1st birthday favors

You can also use those fabric paints you can write with. (They can attach to plastic or metal) You can find them everywhere, like Walmart, Michaels, etc. They have those tubes you can write with, very cheap and easy. They are about 1 1/2 inches high and 1/2 inch wide, with a tip very small to write with.
