1st Birthday favors, jungle theme, HELP!!!!
I really hate favors......
giving and receiveing.......
It has to be something semi-useful.....
My cousin has done cookies for us ad-nauseum....while they honestly are the best cookies ever, Im a little sick of 'em.....
Then I was thinking about a photo frame with a magnet for the fridge possibly with his monkey costume on for Halloween (the party is the week after Halloween), but since the invite will likely be a photo invite, do you think that's "I love my kid and you should have his picture on your fridge" overkill?
Advice please....

One piece of advice - don't give a goldfish 
Seriously though - what is the age range of the kids coming? You could do something personalized from Val - with a fall theme on it. What do kids use in the fall? Let me think a bit and do a search online! Be back!
ETA: Do something personalized with monkey's on it! That would be so cute!

They also have tucan's and apes.

I still have to read that thread when I have a chunk of time.....
I was gonna do a whole jungle themed box filled with jungle toys for the kids, found great stuff on Fun Express and RI Novelty.....
Then I was gonna do something for the adults.......which lead me to my idea above, maybe double it as the placecard somehow......

Yes...step AWAY from the goldfish! 
As for the chickies that gave me a shoutout... 
I did a jungle theme for one of my son's birthdays. I made these:
 
I filled them with:
Madagascar Bubble Bath (jungle-ish)
Plastic jungle animals
Jungle tattoos
Animal Crackers
Madagascar lollipops
For the little ones, I took out the plastic animals and the lollipops, and instead gave them these awesome jungle themed plastic sectioned dishes. My kids still use those dishes every night for dinner.
I also made thse invites to coordinate:

I'm doing a jungle theme too. I got some Jungle themed mirrors from the dollar store, some jungle themed wash clothes, spoons and plates from the dollar section in target. I plan on picking up other jungle themed stuff on sale as I see it. It seems to be a pretty popular theme so there is lots of stuff around. Check out the Christmas Tree Shop, Dollar Tree and Target!

I just went to a jungle themed 1st birthday party. They gave out monkey and elephant shaped sippy cups (she got off some website for cheap). Also she gave out goodie bags with an small jungle animal-realted book and a small stuffed animal. It was cute. DD loved the book (to eat).
Also, I don't think adults need/expect favors at a kid's birthday party.
