1st Birthday question (edited with another question in 1st post)
I am not planning on hiring any entertainment as I will only have a few kids (5-7)...anyone have any ideas of things for them to do at the party. Someone suggested a paper tablecloth with crayons so they can draw, love that idea
I am also getting a pull string pinata, a few handheld bubble machines and a moon bounce
any other ideas?
Thanks
ETA: what about ideas for things to put in the favor boxes that Val is making
The kids are 8 months, 1, 2.5, 3.5, 1.5, 6.5, and 4.5

Re: 1st Birthday question
* hang a long piece of butcher paper or bulletin board paper on the wall. Give out crayons, kids can make a mural.
* Old fashioned games like freeze dance, musical chairs, hot potato. And for your theme: Pin the cherry on the cupcake.
* Playdough, bubbles
*Decorate your own cookie/ cupcake
* Make your own sundae
* Crafts station: Foam craft with self-stick foamies for little ones. Sand art for older ones

Re: 1st Birthday question
Depending on how old the kids are...I love this idea:
A cupcake or cookie decorating station. Make cupcakes in advance and set them out for the kids to decorate. Provide colored frosting, sprinkles and candies. Get bakery boxes and package up each child's cupcakes for them to take home.
You could also do it with cookies. Either make your own sugar cookies for them to decorate or get undecorated ones from a bakery.

Re: 1st Birthday question (edited with another question in 1st post)
they might be too little but what about setting up a sand art table - you can get the bags of colored sand for like a dollar at walmart and buy the containers at the dollar store................. and have the parents help them make... so the little ones arent eating teh sand!!!!
