1st Dr appointment
Did your DH go with you to your 1st appointment? My DH was going to take the day off to come with me to my 1st appointment, which is at 8 weeks. Did they do an ultrasound at your 1st visit? I know some people who have had them at their 1st visit, but others who waited until like 20 weeks. I really should find out what they are going to do at the 1st visit I think if they are going to do an u/s that he should come with me, but otherwise maybe I'll just go by myself.

DH went with me. I had and internal sonogram so they could check the real size of the baby (I thought that I was 7 weeks pregnant, but I was just 6 weeks pregnant).
After that, the doctor asked some questions about our families and about both of us. Good luck in your first appointment!

Fh has gone to every apt with me, but I schedule them so he can come (like when hes not working) so he dosent have to take off from work..
I got an internal sonogram my first visit...it was very special for both of us!

No DH didn't go and I didn't have an ultrasound. He went to my second visit to listen to the heartbeat and to the ultrasound at 20 weeks.

I got an U/S at my first appt. to date the pregnancy which was 7.5 weeks. DH wasn't able to get the day off, which was fine with me.

Dh comes to all my appointments. I usually schedule them early in the morning before we both start work.

Yes My Dh came with me. I make sure I schedule them at night after work so he can make it.

No he didn't. I figured it was more of a meet and greet type thing which it was. I did get to go back that afternoon for an ultrasound becuase I was having so much anxiety. I honestly can't remember if DH made it to that one or not. I know he was at my 10 week, then at the ultra screen, and the BIG ultrasound.
I plan to bring him to some of my appointments toward the end to meet to midwives.

My first appt. was at 8 weeks and I did have an ultrasound. DH was there which was good because he remembered a lot of questions for the doctor that I would have totally forgotten. At 31 weeks now, he's come to every visit (I planned them around his schedule) so far.
However, not counting the "ultrasound" visits, the appts. are pretty unexciting--routine weight, bp, heartbeat, measuring and you're out--I made the 32 wk appt without him.

My first appointment was at 4.5 weeks and was just to confirm the pregnancy with a blood test. Dh did not come with me to this one. He did come with me to the 2nd appt, which was at 8 weeks and was when we saw our son's heart beat for the first time.
