1st mother's day...looking for something fun to do
Besides going out to lunch/dinner.
Any ideas of something fun we could do?

I spent mothers day last year at the Mets game. My sister, her DH kids and my brother, SIL and daughter all went and had one of the best days I can remember.

We did go to brunch, then we went to the Stony Brook duck pond and it was really nice and a nice way to spend an afternoon.
Not a big deal, but nice.
I remember as a kid going to Planting Fields with my mom and grandma and that was nice.

Last year we went on the Martha Jefferson lunch cruise from Pt. Jeff. DD loved the motion of the boat & waving to everyone. The food was pretty good & it was reasonable. We went w/ my parents.

If the weather is nice I enjoy packing a picnic and spending the day at the park. The kids enjoy it and we don't have to worry about them behaving in a restaurant.
