1st night of CIO
I have to give a hughe  to Diana for helping me out with CIO last night. After getting up 3-5 times per night w/rocco over the past month, I had enough. So I caved and CIO last night.
Well, he went down at 8:06 drowsy w/little whimpers here and there. He fell asleep till 8:44 when he woke up crying. So it began...my husband and I waited and watched him on the monitor. DH couldn't take it, he had to have a cig then walk around b/c he felt terrible that we were making him cry. I felt better knowing that I'd finally be able to sleep...even though I couldn't fall asleep till 1:30ish...anyway, by 9:08 he was out cold so 24 mins of crying and he was done. He slept straight through till 2, woke up crying fell back to sleep shortly after then woke up again at 4, cried himself to sleep again and at 6:30 he woke up again and I nursed him.
He's happy and playful today. My breasts were ENGORGED this morning b/c I normally nurse at each waking b/c I know it'll put him back down (bad mommy, bad mommy) - so I pumped after he ate and now I can begin to rebuild my freezer stash.
That's about it. Just wanted to share. Thanks again to Diana! And I'll probably post more about our experiences tonight.

thanks ladies it was a bit nervewracking but i feel so much better. now if i can fall asleep before 1:30, all will be well with the world

Good job! CIO stinks at first but is such a Godsend later. DD is such a great sleeper since we did this at 7 months. She never gets up in the night.
