1st OB appt tomorrow
very excited but very nervous at the same time...I am pretty sure I am about 7w..maybe closer to 8w. I'll be seeing a new dr so I know I'll have a pap and blood taken etc... anything else I should be aware of?
I am so hoping we can hear the heartbeat tomorrow but maybe that's not typical of a 1st appt?

i have an OB appointment tomorrow too. Its my 2nd. At my 1st appointment. They did a PAP, took like 15 vials of blood. and they did an internal sono. You should definitly hear the heartbeat by tomorrow. When r u do again??

Good Luck tomorrow!!!.... My first appointment is this evening, I'm so nervous I feel like I'm going to throw up. I'm only 5w3d (based on my calculations), so I don't think there will be that much to see but I'm still so nervous

please know for ME at least, the pap has caused a LOT of spotting.
my OB even showed me how 'delicate' mine is - because when she was trying to do it - she was getting a TON of blood...(she showed me the qtip and her gloves - so that i could get the idea that she was NOT joking)...
i've had spotting for 2 days now - but since she DID show me that stuff - i'm okay with it. she said if it became constant and period like to call - but other than that - i could spot for up to 4-5 days.

i was 5 weks at my 1st RE appt...we saw the balck sac and a dot!

Me too, me too! i am excited, even though we already had the sonogram, i just want to talk to a DOCTOR already about being pregnant!!! 
i think they will definitely do a sonogram on you... they did one for me 10 days ago and we're due around the same time.

It really depends on your doctor. Most doctors won't do a sono until 8 weeks. You may have a sono tomorrow and you may not. If you don't have a sono, you'll probably have one at the next appointment. You won't hear the heartbeat tomorrow unless you have a sono. You're too early for the doctor to use a doppler to listen to the heartbeat. Also, depending on the sono machine, you may just be able to see the heartbeat and not hear it. Good luck!
