1st Pair of Shoes question....
we are going to pick them up this week....
do I REALLY need to get the ankle support ones or just regular walking shoes?
The lady @ the STride Rite store said they STRONGLY recommend the ankle support, but I think remember someone posting it's not necessary

We got the high top Stride Rites for Nate's first walking shoe. After he was walking for a few months we got shoes without ankle support.

Re: 1st Pair of Shoes question....
We bought the high top for Julia a few ago when she started walking but that was in the winter.
Now she is walking much sturdier and walking around alot and since the spring has arrived - we bought her sneakers and a pair of mary jane's (low top) and will buy her a pair of sandals soon - i can't imagine having her wear high tops in this weather - its warm out.

We never got ankle support shoes. We got a bunch of regular stride rite shoes for her first shoes. I recommend getting her sized and buying from Zappos or Shoebuy. Way cheaper than in store.

We went with the high tops too. Once she was really sturdy on her feet we bought her new shoes.
