1st time homebuyer tax credit
Does anyone have any information or know where to find info about this.
We bought a house last year 08 and received the 1st time homebuyer credit this year which is basically a no interest loan from the govt.
I heard though under the new plans it does not need to be repaid. Anyone know if it is true.
I seen a another article which says only the homebuyers in 2009 will receive the non-refundable one and anyone before will still have to repay.
Thats alittle unfair
Thanks

those who bought in 2008 have to repay the 7500. those who bought/buy in 2009 don'thave to pay back the 8000
not sure on the exact dates for each though

Definitely unfair!
I did read that those that bought in 2009 get a higher credit like $15000.

Re: 1st time homebuyer tax credit
i was mad at first that the 2009 homeowners don't have to pay it back, but then you have to be thankful that 2008 homeowners get it at all. i feel bad for the earlier homeowners.
