1st time laser hair removal questions
Can those of you who have done laser hair removal tell me how it works. I have read about the procedure, but I have questions about logistics.
Do you just call an make an appointment? Do you have to make an appointment for a consultation first?
If you have purchased a Groupon (or similar) for this, how did that work. Do you buy the Groupon first, or do you ask about a consultation first?
(I worry about the weirdest things! )
Thanks!

Re: 1st time laser hair removal questions
I never had a consult. I just went in, knowing which area was getting lasered.
Make an appt. I know you are suppose to be shaved before you go in.
HTH.

1st time laser hair removal questions
I had it done at my dermos office. Just call and make an appointment! The first time hurt a lot but then every time after that was easy.

Re: 1st time laser hair removal questions
My understanding with Groupon is that you buy it first, and then you make the appointment.
Now, for the laser hair removal, you need to have been out of the sun for about 6 weeks. If you are pale it will work wonders. I had 6 sessions - I'm latina and although I get some hair now, it is nothing compare with the waxing and tweezing I had to do before. Don't apply any lotion or anything on your face on that day (at least before the appointment, after it I was able to use aloe vera for my legs, but nothing for my face since it wasn't neccesary). On the face is very fast, maybe 5 minutes top on each session.

Thanks! I got back form Spain 6.5 weeks ago & haven't really been outside much since then, besides the usual coming & going & I always wear sunscreen.
Do you know if you can have more than one area done in the same visit? Lip & chin are both considered separate small areas (so I know I would need 2 packages), but it seems silly to have to do them separately.
Also, if you had any face areas done, did you notice a lot of hair follicles falling out later? I have read that can happen & almost look like there is more hair, and I don't want to look crazy in between appointments. I am fair skinned & have dark hair.

Yes, you can have both of them done in the same session. Before doing my chin I used tweezers every morning, and because I couldn't do it, it was driving me crazy but I was seeing, so I got a trimmer (got it in Bed Bad and Beyond, and have seeing it in amazon as well) and it was a life saver. Not with my face, but I noticed more hair in legs and under arms between sessions (like between the 3rd and 4rd).
Here is the link to something similar of what I got: http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-ES2113PC-Pivoting-Facial-Trimmer/dp/B0009DT39C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1449063177&sr=8-2&keywords=trimmer+for+face
