1st tooth=1st shoes????
Can someone fill me in on this tradition? I've heard several different versions and was wondering how this really works. The person who sees the 1st tooth buys the shoes? I'm just confused!

My mom didn't specify - she just said you get a pair of shoes with the first tooth, so she bought Jackson his first shoes.

I've never heard of that until the other day. I had Charlie at work and one of my housekeepers saw his teeth. The others all said she had to buy him a gift. But I like the shoe idea, even though I've gotten him a few pairs.

I bought his 1st pair of shoes when he was a week old!
This usually applies to the first pair of "walking" shoes!
