1st tri weight gain
I think I have gained a total of 6lbs since becoming pregnant. That is going by the last time I weighed myself before my bfp until today. I am 12 weeks. Is this normal? Too much, too little? I think from what they weighed me at the doctor I may only have gained 3 or 4lbs. I wore my sneakers the first time they weighed me, and plan to take them off this time. I just don't want to go to my 2nd appt this week, and get told I have gained too much. I am lucky my appt is early in the morning. I am just worried my m/s has finally slowed down so I have been able to eat more, and by more I mean I feel like I am making up for those lost weeks. Plus with Thanksgiving you know.

Re: 1st tri weight gain
They say 3-5 lbs of weight gain is normal for the first trimester. I am up about 6 lbs.
I used to run a lot before getting pregnant and the decrease in activity and the increase in exhaustion I think was in part the reason why I have gained so much. I also was lucky enough not to have morning sickness and a good appetite.
I am not worried however because I think in the end it will all balance out. Everyone is different and unless your doctor says something about it I wouldn't worry about it

I agree with azoodie in the end it balances out. Most women who have horrible morning Sickness and lose weight early on end up putting it on later on.

At 12 weeks I was up 5.9 lbs...
I think you're fine unless your doctor says otherwise!

I doubt they will say you gained too much, sounds right to me.

Re: 1st tri weight gain
Sounds reasonable to me. I gained 5lbs with my 1st PG and 10lbs with this one (bc I tried to alleviate my MS with food and unfortunately crave McDs like crazy!)

Re: 1st tri weight gain
i gained about 3lbs by 12 weeks, but now at 20 weeks I'm up 14 lbs! so it all works out in the end.
