2 Questions for people who use electric bottle warmers (1 question about Dr. Brown's)
I am just getting around to trying mine.
If you use Dr. Brown's Bottles do you have to leave out the tubing from the middle of the bottle when you put the bottle in the heater?
Does your bottle warmer give off a scent? Whenever use mine it makes the room smell like cinnamon hot chocolate. I think there is something coming from the heating element. This is not a smell that can possibly come from Enfamil. (Have I mentioned that I hate the smell of Enfamil but my baby is doing great on it?).

Kerie,
I'm not familiar firsthand w/ the bottle warmer, but we use Dr. Browns & I noticed that after a while if we left the nipple on (& tubing) that the bottle would leak all over. Since then when I heat the bottle (put it in a cup of warm/hot water) I now take off the nipple/screw on top. I do leave the tubing inside.

Do you put any cap on top of the whole thing? I have those extra travel caps.

I leave the tubing in the bottle, butI take the top off of the Dr Brown's bottles. If I dont, it overflows.
I can't help you with the smell- but that is weird!

No I usually just leave it w/ just the tubing in the water on the counter...but the cap idea may work, just don't make it tight (good idea!)
Also, the smell sounds nice.

Did it have that smell when it was new? I have used mine twice so far! It is a good smell but I doubt it is supposed to smell that way!!!
Thanks everyone for the answers!!!! There is so much new equipment to learn. Stay tuned for bouncy seat questions and swing questions!

I use Dr.Brown's bottles. When I heat them in the warmer or just a cup of water, I leave the whole thing together. It works fine. (I've never had any kind of smell w/my bottle warmer.)
