2 questions: snack bowl? & cup in summer?
1. What do you use for your kids snacks? Do any of those "spill proof" bowl work?
2. Now that we are getting to warmer months, how do you keep with sippy cup of milk cold? Or do you not leave the house with milk?

I use something like these flip top snack cups I have friends who use the snack traps but I never have.
I do not bring milk out of the house but if I did, I would bring it in a cooler bag.

Re: 2 questions: snack bowl? & cup in summer?
We just got a cup called the Snack Trap from BRU and I love it. It has a cover that DS can push his hand through but the contents dont spill over. Took Ds a little bit to get the idea, then took a bit to get over the novelty of takign a cookie out, chewing it and then sticking it back in the cup but now it works great!
If I am going to be out for awhile I just use an insulated bag with an ice pack for hte milk. If I am worried that it might not still be good, you can always get a single serving of milk at the grocery, McDonalds, etc.

Re: 2 questions: snack bowl? & cup in summer?
yeah I am currently bringing a cooler with her milk sippy. It's only during times that I think we will want the milk. Maybe I'll try a trip out with just water. But even that I'd like cool.
Why don't they make a sippy cup that is insulated and doesn't leak?!?!?!?

Re: 2 questions: snack bowl? & cup in summer?
DD throws snack cups so we don't use them - she just gets her snack on her stroller tray for now.
When she was drinking milk - I would bring empty sippy cups and then milk boxes b.c they don't have to be kept cold until they are opened. Stop and Shop sells whole milk ones, and there are several brands like horizons that sell 2%. She usually would finish her sippy cups so it wasn't an issue but if I needed it sometimes I would still bring a very small cooler with one thing of ice just in case.
They sell these metal insulator sippy cups that actually work really well. I wouldn't leave the milk out but it does keep it colder longer than a regular sippy cup would.

We use the snack trap for Nina and I think it works great. Sometimes she manages to stick her whole hand in there and shake the cup which can get messy LOL
We don't bring milk out of the house. We only use water in the sippy cup when leaving the house.

I loooove the Snack Trap. I think it's the best invention ever!
Last summer I tried bringing milk out and about but it never really worked well. I was always worried about the milk spoiling and it just wasn't worth it. Now it's milk at home only!

I did to, until she figured out how to take the top off
But that's what we use all the time regardless

The snack trap is GREAT and you can use a few of those baby links to hook it to the stroller if you have a thrower.

you can use milk in those cartons, it doesnt need to be refrigirated.
The small cartons with a straw, i think Horizon makes them but there are other brands.

Re: 2 questions: snack bowl? & cup in summer?
we use sippy cups that are insulated. They keep water cool for hours. We use a variety of snack bowls. Depends on age. Noah is almost 2, so he can eat out of a bowl without risk of spilling anything...so we use a snack trap but also just regular small bowls ( I keep snacks in Ziploc bags) .

I use a snack trap:
For drinks, we do not take milk out of the house usually. I bring a sippy with water and just learned to put ice cubes in it to keep it cool longer.

Re: 2 questions: snack bowl? & cup in summer?
We use this for snacks or I just put snacks in her stroller tray. It took DD a little while to figure out how to use it without sending the snacks flying as she pulled out her hand but she has it down now. She even feeds her snacks to other kids that can't do it.
For milk I bring an empty sippy and have it filled if we are eating out. If I need to pack it I use insulated cups and pack it in an insulated lunch bag with a cold pack.
I also put her water in an insulated sippy and my diaper bag pockets are insulated so it stays pretty cool, even if left in the car.

I bought sippy straw cups that have a cooler stick. You freeze the stick and then it attaches to the sippy cup. Keeps everything nice and cold!
