2 year old dance class?
I see that a nearby dance studio in Babylon has an intro class for 2-3 year olds. I'm thinking of signing DD up for class. I don't want her in a recital yet though. She is only 2 1/2. Does anyone take their DD to dance class this young? Can you share where you go? I'm looking in the western suffolk area.

Re: 2 year old dance class?
My dd is 2 1/2 and just started in September. She goes to Norma's Dance School in Bethpage and LOVES it! It is a 3 year old class, but if they are potty trained the owner will let you give it a try younger.

Re: 2 year old dance class?
thanks for the input ladies. I think I might try Positions in Babylon. they don't have their prices online though, so that will probably be the deciding factor!

Re: 2 year old dance class?
DD goes to Roseland School of Dance in Ronkonkoma. For her age group there is no recital. It's one of the reasons I decided to enroll her in this school. She has been to 5 classes so far and seems to be enjoying it.

Re: 2 year old dance class?
DD has been going to divine rhythms for 2 years (s ince she was 2). It's in Babylon (cooper and montauk).
I love the owner and the staff is great.
DD went to a dance camp there this summer for 2 1/2 hours and really enjoyed it.
They always put on a great show.

Hi,
Where is Ronkonkomma is this located? My DD is 2 and LOVES to dance. Is there a 2 year old class offered in the evenings or Saturday's? Thanks for any and all info you can give.
PS. Did you look into any other programs in the same area ( I live in Medford) who offer dance for a two year old?

Re: 2 year old dance class?
My 3 and a half year old daughter started a dance class and there is a 2 year old girl in it. The 2 year old does great! She was a little nervous the first week, but now she jumps in with the older kids and has a blast.
My daughter was very shy at age 2 and wouldnt have been ready for a class at that age - but the little girl in her class is outgoing and more independent than my daughter was at that age.

Re: 2 year old dance class?
I went to positions in Babylon for eight yrs. I loved it but that was many moons ago.
My DD will be 2 next week and she just started dance last month. She LOVES it. There are 3 other girls in her class and it is cute. They dont do everything perfectly but each week you can def. notice an improvement.
Try it for a few weeks and see how she does. Most places are pay per month and totally understand if you dont return for that age group!

DD also goes to Roseland School of Dance. (she's in the 3 year old program, so she will be in the recital). They are located right on Hawkins Avenue behind BLD's. (just north of the LIE).
I don't know their schedule of 2 year old classes, but so far we have been very happy there.

DD is in the same class at Roseland. It is called music and movement. It's a great introduction to dance and there is no recital.
She loves it.
