I started looking into 2 year old preschool programs for my daughter. The registration for September is coming up in January. DD goes to a babysitter every day while I teach so she would be doing the dropping off and picking up. I originally felt that it was important for her to go and socialize with other children….but with the cost of daycare and preschool ….i wouldn’t be able to pay for mommy and me type of activities for after work. So my question is… are there any good toddler groups for 2 year olds that are in the afternoon. I already do Gymboree…and will continue that I’m looking for more of something like music, circle time story time, craft etc…
I like the idea of the 2 year old preschool program….I feel like by next September she would like a more structured program and she needs little friends (my sister, cousins and friends don’t have kids her age)….However, I enjoy spending the time with her in the afternoons at the mommy and me type classes and I’m having a hard time with the fact that if she goes to a 2 year old preschool program that I'm not going to be the one who sees how she is interacting with the other kids and not being the one to take her and pick her up. I’ll definitely send her to a 3 year old program when the time comes…just wondering if there are any other good options for 2 year olds in the New Hyde Park , Garden City area or anywhere nearby.
